2016 Cadillac CTS-V Review

At the end of the summer of 2014 Cadillac introduced the 2016
Cadillac CTS-V, the latest and most powerful product brands in
its 112-year history. This model reasonably belongs to an
elite class of luxury vehicles. On first look new 2016
Cadillac CTS-V achieves higher levels than their predecessors.
It is the third generation of the famous luxury sports sedan
model, part V series of elite vehicles that was launched ten
years ago. New improvements led to the conclusion that this
model represents as two cars in one -a luxury sedan and a
sports car.


“The monster from Detroit” as many call it, justifies its name
with 640 hp and 855 Nm of  torque with the possibility of
achieving a top speed of 200mph (320km / h). It is because of

Brembo high-performance brake system that enables durability,
consistency and the capability for track-day performance.



The visual differences compared to classic CTS are huge. Some
of these differences are more aggressive front end with
honeycomb mask and air vents, carbon fiber hood, rear diffuser
for greater aerodynamic performance, trunk lid spoiler, sports
exhaust system with four pipes and many others.

The vehicle is characterized by a wheelbase of 2910mm as well
as CTS models that do not belong in the series but has a wider
range of wheels front and rear.Just like the smaller ATS-V, the
new 2016 Cadillac CTS-V can be ordered with an available
Carbon Fiber package that reduces overall vehicle weight and
aerodynamics even  further.

three-compound technology.


It is a 6.2L V8 engine that offers more power and efficiency
over previous Cadillac supercharged engines. He uses a more
efficient, more compact 1.7L supercharger. There is also the
option of direct fuel injection as well as active fuel
management in the form of a cylinder deactivation.

With more power and torque than achieved by Mercedes-Benz 5.5L
biturbo V8 engine or a 4.4L BMW TwinPower engine M series new
CTS-V can accelerate from the starting position up to 60 (0-60)
mph in just 3.7 seconds, which is a significant improvement
over the previous sedan’s four seconds.



Cabin of the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V is oriented towards
the driver, and all important information is displayed in
full-color, reconfigurable a head-up display diagonal of 12.3
inches. It is also equipped with the latest connectivity
technologies from Cadillac:

1.OnStar 4G LTE connectivity with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.

2.Siri Eyes Free and text-to-voice that converts incoming text
messages to speech and reads them over the audio system

has a new 8L90 automatic transmission that offers full control
and manual transmission via a lever on the steering wheel,
which gives the driver the option of choosing one of the eight

Price and release date

Since the first 2016 Cadillac CTS-V sold at
 Barrett-Jackson’s ongoing Scottsdale 2015 auction for $
170.000. The price for the version with an automatic
transmission 8 speed and rear-wheel  drive be at around $
80,000 when goes on sale this summer 2015.
