Undoubtedly, car makers continue to impress us each year with
better, faster and more efficient vehicles. Hyundai, in
particular, have decided to go all out with the 2016 Hyundai
Tucson as they look to start their 3rd generation production
with a bang. Undoubtedly, this means that this modern SUV will
seek to blend both class and performance into one product. So,
what should you expect from this upcoming marvel?
With its exterior styled in Germany, the 2016 Hyundai Tucson is
surely a beauty with its improved more muscular, more sporty
design. Along with its tall hood which makes it look larger
than the last model, it also has a larger wheelbase which means
its actually bigger than the last model.
Additionally, its grille will come in a hexagonal shape and
feature more prominently at the front, together with highly
perched angular LED headlights and more cohesive fog-lights.
The vehicle’s rear has also undergone some major modifications.
The rear-bumper has been modified to accommodate sharper lines
to give it a sleek look like the front one, plus it now has an
integrated rear spoiler.
In addition to that, the tail-lights have also been
re-designed, placing the signal light just underneath the brake
light to give the vehicle a signature classy look at the black.
The vehicle is set to ride on 19″ alloy wheels.
New Tucson Interior
The increased vehicle dimensions means that it cabin is now
larger than before. The California-designed interior will
feature more upgrades in terms of both comfort and technology.
The seats and the whole interior (including the dashboard) will
be stitched with soft, high quality leather to put on emphasis
on class. Thats without mentioning that they will be both odor
and stain resistant. What’s more, the seats could be upgraded
to facilitate both heating and cooling. In terms of
infotainment, the 2016 Hyundai
Tuscon upgrades will include; a colored 5-inch audio system, a
405-watt amplifier with up to 8 speakers, an automatic
temperature control and defogging system, Blue Link Telematics
system and an Electroluminescent Gauge cluster. It will also
feature a panoramic sunroof in-case you fancy a view.
2016 Hyundai Tucson Engine and
When it comes to power, it seems no stone will be left
unturned. The 2.0-liter, 4 cylinder turbocharged engine under
the basic model’s hood is predicted to generate about 164
horsepower and will be paired with an automatic 6-speed
Shiftronic transmission system.
The higher models will house a stronger 1.6-liter 16 valve
turbocharged engine which will be able to generate up to 175
hp, paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch transmission system. Both
engines are efficient and can generate an impressive fuel
economy of up to 26 miles per gallon. Its Eco-boost feature can
up the power to 240 hp which enables the car to do 0-60 mph in
just under 7 seconds.
Safety-wise, there are a couple of added features including;

It will also be offered diesel engines of 1.7 liters and 115
hp, 2.0-liter with 136 and 184 hp. Everyone will have a
six-speed automatic or manual gearbox.
Price and Release date
The first official appearance had at the Geneva Motor Show
2015. For the European market, the new Tucson will be built at
Hyundai plant in the Czech Republic.
The Tuscon’s pricing is yet to be officially announced,
although most pundits predict it would around the $22,500 mark.
Sales are, however, set to begin later this year. So, prepare
yourself car lovers, Christmas is coming early this time round.
